ORGANISATIONAL WHANAU

Below you will find a list of all the organisations in the Exercise New Zealand (EXNZ) whānau – all here to support the exercise industry in all its diversity – our people, places and spaces.

EXNZ is the peak body of the exercise industry in New Zealand. Our vision is to get everyone in Aotearoa exercising – we advance this by supporting the people and places that provide exercise services to the public.

We offer memberships for businesses through our key pillars of Advocacy, Support and Growth – including research, events and specialised resources.

REPs is the quality mark for exercise professionals, exercise facilities and education providers in New Zealand.

We provide safety and assurance to members of the public as registration with REPs are held to internationally established & externally verified standards.

Registered professionals have international portability to over 30 countries, including Australia, UK, and most of Europe.

YogaNZ is the national body for the Yoga community in Aotearoa – registering Teachers,  Therapists, and Teacher Training courses.

Founded in 2015, we’re dedicated to nurturing and elevating Yoga through connection, collaboration, and ongoing professional development via regular free members’ events, and by promoting and advocating for our members.

YogaNZ is overseen by the Yoga New Zealand Council, and works closely with EXNZ and REPs.

Pilates Aotearoa offers support, professionalism, standards and advocacy for Pilates Instructors and studios in New Zealand.

Founded to provide professional standards for the growing field in New Zealand, and dedicated to serving the industry, fostering community, and promoting inclusivity. Membership is launching in mid-2024.

Pilates Aotearoa is overseen by a Pilates Council, and is supported by EXNZ and REPs. The interim council is currently developing education standards that align with international benchmarks.

The Exercise Professionals Network Aotearoa (EPNA) is led by volunteer ambassadors representing eight regions across the country, we’re all about connecting exercise professionals across the country.

The success of the EPNA is measured by the success of our exercise professionals, who engage with the community Facebook hubs, attend our in-person or online meet-ups, and utilise our support.

EPNA has a national council of ambassadors, supported by EXNZ.
